Cragside Truckle Double Gloucester with Onion & Chive 170g

£4.50

A golden Double Gloucester cheese with a deep round tang, beautifully lifted by the savoury sweetness of onion & chives.

Description

Named after one of Northumberland's most celebrated estates, the Cragside Truckle is a golden Double Gloucester with real depth of character. Beneath its wax coat you'll find a rich, mellow cheese with a deep, round tang, beautifully lifted by the savoury sweetness of onion and chives. The result is warm and moreish - the classic buttery smoothness of a good Double Gloucester, given extra lift and interest by the fresh, oniony notes running through it.

A firm cheeseboard favourite, the Cragside is wonderful with crackers and chutney, crumbled into a baked potato, or melted into a savoury toastie.

Milk Provenance

The milk for our cows' milk cheeses comes from farms here in Northumberland, close to our dairy on the Blagdon Estate. Fresh local milk is the starting point for every batch of Original, Nettle, Oak Smoked and Chilli, and it is what gives them their rich, creamy character.
