Overview
Experience the journey of Northumberland Cheese from milk to table with our immersive Dairy Tour, perfect for anyone aged 13 and above. Guided by our expert cheesemakers, you’ll discover every stage of the cheese-making process, from the arrival of fresh milk to the final packaging. The tour concludes with a cheese tasting session in our despatch department, followed by a Traditional Afternoon Tea in our Cheese Loft Café, featuring sandwiches, homemade scones, sweet treats, and your choice of tea or filter coffee.
What’s Included
- Guided behind-the-scenes tour of our working dairy (approx. 45mins - 1 hour).
- Insight into the full cheese-making process:pasteurising, moulding, brining, maturing, and packaging.
- Cheese tasting session.
- Traditional Afternoon Tea in the Cheese Loft Café.
- An emailed voucher, valid for 1 year from purchase (please check your junk folder if not received).
Booking Details
- £32.00 per person.
- Available for groups of up to 6 people; tours may include others.
- Please book at least 4 weeks in advance by emailing Martin at production@northumberlandcheese.co.uk after purchasing your voucher.
- Tours run Tuesday to Thursday, January to October, subject to production schedules; not available on weekends, bank holidays, or during November and December.
Important Information
- Tours take place in an operational dairy and are not recommended for those requiring walking assistance.
- Expect changes in temperature and dairy aromas during your visit.

Shipping and returns
We deliver across the UK. Delivery is free on orders over £40 and charged at checkout below that. Choose the delivery day that suits you at checkout and we will pack your order carefully so it arrives in perfect condition.
Cheese is a fresh product, so we cannot accept returns once an order has left the dairy. If anything is wrong with your order, get in touch within 48 hours of delivery and we will put it right.
