A luscious dark red coloured wine with purple hues. A lifted nose of vanilla, blackberry and red currant. The palate displays notes of spice and rich black fruits complemented with elegant oak. Perfectly balanced, with a firm, smooth tannin structure, it finishes with and lengthy ripe fruit and French oak. 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Ruby Cabernet. Rich, full bodied and vibrant, the XV range from McPherson Wines celebrates classic Australian red wine.

Fruit is harvested from McPherson’s old vines from exceptional riverside vineyards. The vineyard is situated on the banks of the Murray River, and is of sandy soils, with excellent draining providing ideal conditions for growing high quality fruit. Separate parcels of the wine spent between 6 and 12 months in French oak barriques, after which the final blending of select parcels took place.
