Northumberland Cheese has been adding to its trophy cabinet!

Northumberland Cheese Company has had a fantastically successful summer of awards this year.

We began with the Artisan Cheese Awards in Melton Mowbray (they were at the end of April, but we think that almost counts as summer!), where we were delighted to gain a Bronze award for our Brinkburn in the best goats' cheeese category, and we won a silver award for best newcomer for Northumberlandia; we were especially excited about this, as Northumberlandia is a new face in the cheese world this year.

Next, we had the Great Yorkshire Show Awards. The Great Yorkshire Show is probably the best known agricultural show in the country, and so we're always eager to receive these awards. We won a Silver award in the Speciality Cheese category for Northumberlandia, which we were again thrilled with.

The Nantwich International Cheese Awards were held last month, and we knew we faced strong competition. However, our Brinkburn won Bronze in the 100% goats' milk category, and Reiver was commended in the hard-pressed cheese category. Reiver hasn't had much attention on the awards front recently, so it was great to see it commended.

Finally, we have most recently entered the Bakewell Show's Awards. There, we had an extremely successful ceremony! We won First prizes for both Reiver and Redesdale cheeses, which is wonderful! We were awarded trophies for those too, so that's exciting! Brinkburn gained a second prize.

We would especially like to thank our hard-working cheese makers, who produce this delicious product.
